The Society for the Research of Black Confederates was established in 2017 for the purpose of gathering and disseminating scholarly research about the role of patriotic Southern free and slave "people of color"
during the armed conflict of 1861 - 1865.

As records have become more and more accessible to researchers that provide evidence contradictory to the their narrative, those who had been in control of 'history' for generations are desperately struggling retain control.

As the Society researches the history of Black Confederates, our findings will be posted here.

Family members of Black Confederates and other researchers are welcome to share their
research with us for our review and possible posting.

Check back often as new research is being continuously posted.
